A smile the world can’t forget and a lumberjack from an era past. Throw in 2km of fairylights and it’s a wedding for the ages. Jason and Lauren are memorable in so many ways. Jason milled the timber for the 6 gigantic tables the guests sat at and built a wooden bridge to carry the guests across the creek on his brother’s lush Gold Coast Hinterland property. Warm company under earthy stars brought us home to the heart of life and love. Cheer, embrace, eat, dance, laugh, love.
I always love catching up with my brides and grooms on the other side of the wedding, so when Jason and Lauren suggested we do it by a mountain stream I couldn’t say yes fast enough. But little did I know how much fun we were to have. Jumping off waterfalls in a wedding dress and being immersed in their love once more made me grateful not just to be a storyteller, but to be alive. Everyone needs a Jason and Lauren in their lives. As you enjoy their story, maybe a little bit of them will enter yours too.
Like many engaged couples, our number one priority for our wedding day was our photography. We could not have chosen any better photographer than Wes. Wes was an absolute pleasure to work with; helpful and responsive preparing for the wedding, and delivering our (gorgeous!) photos promptly afterwards. My husband is quite camera shy, but Wes made us feel so comfortable before the camera and this clearly showed through in our photos. Often times we did not even realise he was there, so seamless and professional is his style. He has an impeccable eye, and captured so many moments in such an intimate and beautiful way. Quite simply, our wedding photography was beautiful. We have had Wes photograph us again (for our Trash the Dress), and look forward to having him photograph us again in the future.
